Migraines and headaches

Question: What is the difference between headaches and migraines?

Answer: They say they see them as the same. Any type of discomfort in the head.

Q: What do they see as the general cause?

A: They see it primarily as a psychological cause. Secondarily, it can be a physical cause.

Q: How does a physical cause lead to a headache?

A: Excessive light, contracted neck and back muscles, dehydration, various supplements and medications, thickened blood, eye strain (glasses), and in rare cases, a tumor.

Q: Thickened blood? Can they explain that?

A: Poor blood circulation in the brain.

Q: So, does aspirin help?

A: Yes, because it thins the blood. Contracted muscles have poorer blood circulation.

Q: Why would poor blood circulation cause a headache?

A: The blood gets trapped in the vessels, leading to increased pressure on the vessel walls and nerves. That's where the pain comes from. Blood vessels can generate pressure but not pain. That's the job of the nerves.

Q: What about psychological factors?

A: Common triggers are emotions, stress, anxiety, anger, and external pressure.

Q: In what way do these factors contribute to the pain?

A: The body responds to psychological stimulation. It's psychosomatic.

Q: What does this psychosomatic response do in the body to cause pain?

A: It varies from person to person. Some experience thickened blood, increased sweating, facial muscle tension, etc. The psychological cause leads to a physical effect.

Q: What about migraines?

A: It's the same thing but on a stronger basis. Most migraines have a psychological cause. However, in the case of a physical cause, it is usually linked to a bodily imbalance. But that topic is covered in another article.
