Question: Is it good to be realistic?

Answer: Yes and no. It is good to be realistic in our everyday activities, not in our goals. It is important to know how much we can actually achieve in one day based on our work habits. When it comes to goals, it is not necessary to be realistic, because by moving forward we will sooner or later get closer to our goals, depending on our abilities, the time we dedicate, etc.

People usually think that it is necessary to be realistic when setting goals, but this is not the case. Realism helps us to be more tolerant of ourselves if we can't achieve a lot every day. It helps us set easily achievable goals along the way. This is more important for our mind/consciousness – a constant reminder that what we are doing is working. That we are moving forward.

When setting bigger goals, it is not necessary to be realistic, because everything is achievable, only some things take more time, depending on our situation. Everything will be realized sooner or later, and if not, it can continue in the next lives. Our desires originate from this, even from past lives.
